Three resistances in one Multi-Ohm cartridge

The VOOPOO ARGUS G4 features an unusual coil system that means you don’t have to buy a different cartridge to change the resistance. The ARGUS Multi-Ohm Cartridge contains two coil sections and three contact electrodes. Depending on how they are connected, it can operate in three modes:

• 0.7 ohm: MTL draw with a balanced amount of vapor.
• 1.0 ohm: Tighter MTL draw at lower power.
• 0.4 ohm: Looser RDL draw at higher power.

Switch between 0.7 and 1.0 ohm by turning the cartridge 180 degrees. You can also activate the 0.4-ohm resistance on the ARGUS G4 by double-pressing the side button, which makes both coil sections operate simultaneously.

This feature is specific to Multi-Ohm cartridges and compatible devices. With standard ARGUS cartridges that have a fixed resistance, each version operates independently.

1650 mAh battery and adjustable 35 W output

The built-in 1650 mAh battery powers the device, which has an adjustable output of 5–35 W. Compared with the ARGUS G3, the G4 offers higher battery capacity and a maximum output increased from 30 to 35 W.

USB-C charging supports 5 V / 2 A. The manufacturer states that a full charge takes approximately 45 minutes when using a suitable power source.

You can adjust the output according to the cartridge and resistance selected. The draw is therefore shaped not only by the coil, but also by the power setting and airflow.

0.85-inch HD display and device controls

The ARGUS G4 has a 0.85-inch color HD display that shows the current output, cartridge resistance, remaining battery level, and puff count.

The control button lets you change settings without connecting the device to a phone or computer:

• Three presses: enter the output settings.
• Five presses: open the menu to turn off the device, change the display theme, reset the puff counter, or lock the device.
• Press and hold: display user tips.

With a Multi-Ohm cartridge, double-pressing the button also switches the resistance.

Airflow control and the difference between MTL and RDL

Use the side slider to adjust the airflow smoothly. Combined with the three resistances of the Multi-Ohm cartridge, this lets you change your draw from a tight MTL to a more open RDL.

For a tighter MTL draw, use the 1.0- or 0.7-ohm resistance with less airflow. The 0.4-ohm resistance and more open airflow provide a looser RDL draw with more intense heating.

iCOSM CODE 2.0 and e-liquid refilling

Multi-Ohm cartridges use iCOSM CODE 2.0 technology, developed by VOOPOO to provide an even supply of e-liquid to the coil and help prevent leaks.

The cartridges have a 2 ml capacity and a top-fill port beneath a silicone cap. You can refill the e-liquid without removing the cartridge from the device.

The coil is integrated directly into the cartridge, so you replace the entire cartridge when it wears out.

Full compatibility with ARGUS cartridges

The ARGUS G4 is part of the ARGUS Pod Family and also supports older generations of compatible cartridges. You’re not limited to the new Multi-Ohm version.

All the types listed are designed for the ARGUS Pod Family. However, switching between three resistances is a feature of the Multi-Ohm cartridge, not standard Top Fill or SNAP cartridges.

Metal construction and material differences

The ARGUS G4 is available in several construction options. Depending on the color, it is made from aluminum or zinc alloy, or features decorative leather elements.

Aluminum versions weigh approximately 65 g, while zinc alloy versions weigh approximately 85 g. The construction has a matte finish created by fine blasting.

The device measures 121 × 27.6 mm. Its thickness ranges from 15.8 to 16.6 mm, depending on the material finish.

The electronics include eight safety protections, including protection against short circuits, overheating, overcharging, low battery voltage, and continuous firing for more than five seconds.

ARGUS G4 or ARGUS G4 Mini?

If you want to use all three Multi-Ohm cartridge resistances, adjust the output, and monitor information on the display, the ARGUS G4 offers more control options.

VOOPOO ARGUS G4 Mini is a simpler, lighter model with the same 1650 mAh battery capacity. It has no conventional display and, when used with a Multi-Ohm cartridge, supports switching between 0.7 and 1.0 ohm, but not the 0.4-ohm mode.
