The Uwell Caliburn G2 UN2 coil 1.2 ohmis a replaceable spare coil designed for compatible POD systems using the Caliburn G platform. The manufacturer labels it as CALIBURN G2 Coiland uses UN2 Meshed-Htechnology.

The mesh construction has a larger active surface area than a standard coil, allowing for rapid heating and even evaporation of the e-liquid. The higher 1.2 ohm resistance is primarily aimed at a tighter MTL draw and lower power output.

If you want a looser draw or the classic 1.0 ohm variant, take a look at the Uwell Caliburn G coil. The newer generation of Caliburn with an integrated coil is intended for the Uwell Caliburn GPP cartridge 2 ml 4-pack.

1.2 ohm UN2 Meshed-H

The coil uses a FeCrAl UN2 Meshed-Hconstruction with a resistance of 1.2 ohm. Uwell supplies it as the base coil for the Caliburn G2 and also uses it in other compatible devices in the Caliburn series.

Compared to the 0.8 ohm Caliburn G coil, it offers a tighter draw and lower vapor production. It is therefore mainly suitable for classic MTL vaping.

Recommended power 9–13 W

A lower power output of approximately 9–13 Wis commonly used for the 1.2 ohm variant. Higher resistance means lower energy and e-liquid consumption than with looser, lower-resistance coils.

If you prefer a smoother draw, smaller amount of vapor, and a tighter MTL experience, the 1.2 ohm is the most focused on this of the three Caliburn G/G2 coils.

Difference between Caliburn G and G2 coils

The label Caliburn G2 Coil 1.2 ohmis not just a marketing name. Uwell actually lists it as a separate G2 coil, while:

Nevertheless, individual coils are mutually compatible across multiple devices of the Caliburn G platform. For example, the Caliburn G2 supports its own 1.2 ohm coil as well as 0.8 and 1.0 ohm Caliburn G coils.

First use of a new coil

Before the first use, we recommend moistening the exposed cotton with a few drops of e-liquid. After inserting the coil into the cartridge and filling it, let the coil soak for a few minutes.

This reduces the risk of burning dry cotton on the first draw.

Replace the coil when the flavor begins to deteriorate, vapor production decreases, or a burnt taste appears.
