Uwell Caliburn G coil headis a replaceable spare coil for POD systems using the Caliburn G platform. Unlike cartridges with a permanently integrated coil, only the coil head itself is replaced here – the cartridge can remain in the device, and you simply insert a new one once the old coil wears out.

There are two variants to choose from: 0.8 ohm Meshfor a looser draw and higher vapor production, and 1.0 ohmfor a tighter MTL vape. Both use FeCrAl as the heating material, but their construction differs.

Uwell Caliburn G 0.8 ohm Mesh

The 0.8 ohmvariant uses UN2 Meshed-Htechnology. Instead of a traditional wound wire, it utilizes a heating mesh with a larger active surface area.

The mesh construction allows for rapid heating and more uniform e-liquid evaporation. This variant is suitable for customers who prefer a looser MTL to slightly RDL draw, higher vapor production, and a warmer sensation.

The recommended power is approximately in the range of 13–18 W.

Uwell Caliburn G 1.0 ohm

The 1.0 ohmvariant uses a classic FeCrAl coil, not Mesh. It is focused primarily on a traditional MTL mouth-to-lung draw.

Higher resistance means a tighter draw, lower vapor production, and lower required power. The recommended range is approximately 10–15 W.

So, if you are choosing between the Uwell Caliburn G 0.8 ohm and 1.0 ohm, the main difference is not just the resistance, but also the coil construction and the resulting style of vaping.

Which resistance to choose?

0.8 ohm Mesh– looser draw, more vapor, higher power 13–18 W.
1.0 ohm– tighter MTL draw, less vapor, lower power 10–15 W.

For classic MTL vaping, the 1.0 ohm is the more natural choice. If you want a breezier sensation and higher vapor production, the 0.8 ohm Mesh is more suitable.

Before ordering, we always recommend checking the exact model of your device and the cartridge being used.

Also, beware of newer Caliburn generations. If you are using the Uwell Caliburn G5, this standalone Caliburn G coil head is not intended for it – the G5 uses the newer GPP platform. For it, for example, Uwell Caliburn GPP cartridge 2 ml 4packwith an integrated coil are intended.

Replacement and first use of a new coil head

When replacing, pull the used coil head out of the cartridge and push the new one all the way into the corresponding hole.

Before first use, we recommend moistening the accessible cotton with a few drops of e-liquid. After filling the cartridge, let the new coil soak for a few minutes so that the cotton becomes sufficiently saturated, preventing it from burning out on the first draw.

It is advisable to replace the coil head when the flavor begins to deteriorate, vapor production decreases, or a burnt taste appears.
