Is Kurwa ending? No. It's just changing to Kura. Here's why
Share
If you've come across headlines like "Kurwa is ending" online, you can relax.
In reality, the brand is not leaving the Czech market. It is only changing the name of its vaping products, because from July 1, 2026, new Czech legislation came into effect, prohibiting the use of names containing or resembling vulgarisms for electronic cigarettes and refills.
Therefore, the KURWA brand for vape products is gradually changing to KURA.
So, if you see Kura instead of Kurwa in the e-shop, it's not a different company or a new brand. It's still the same manufacturer.

Why is Kurwa changing to Kura?
The reason is not marketing or an attempt at a new image.
The manufacturer had to react to a change in the law, which now prohibits the names of electronic cigarettes, POD systems, or e-liquids from containing or resembling vulgarisms.
And because the name Kurwa falls into this category, there was no choice but to rename the brand for vaping.
The result is KURA.
The change is minimal – only the letter W has disappeared. Thanks to this, the brand remains easily recognizable, and customers will not get lost in the offer.
What is changing?
From July 1, 2026, the new name KURA will gradually appear on all the brand's vaping products.
These include, for example:
- Kura disposable electronic cigarettes,
- Kura pre-filled POD systems,
- Kura e-liquids,
- other vaping refills.
The content of the products, flavors, or quality do not change in any way. You will mainly notice the difference by the new name on the packaging.
What remains under the Kurwa name?
This is perhaps the biggest surprise.
The new legislation only addresses vaping products, not other products of the brand. (I don't know why)
Therefore, you will continue to find under the original name KURWA:
- Kurwa nicotine pouches,
- Kurwa caffeine pouches,
- Kurwa Juicy drinks and juices.
Yes, this means that one brand will operate under two names for some time.
So, if you order Kurwa nicotine pouches, you don't have to worry. They remain unchanged.
Only the name changes. The taste remains the same.
This is probably the information that interests most people.
The manufacturer confirms that:
- recipes remain the same,
- flavors do not change, (but a few have been discontinued)
- quality is maintained.
It is merely a formal name change based on legislative requirements.
At the same time, the brand stated that it is also preparing new products that are intended to offer even higher quality than the current portfolio.
Our opinion
The whole situation is actually simpler than it appears from some social media posts.
It's not the end of the brand or a withdrawal from the Czech market. The manufacturer merely adjusted the name of part of its portfolio to comply with new legal conditions. (btw how is it possible that the POPIC! brand is okay according to the law, but KURWA is not?)
Frankly, if you bought the products for their flavors or quality, practically nothing changes for you.
A bit paradoxical is that KURA and KURWA products will exist side by side. At first glance, it may seem strange, but the reason is simple – the law only addresses vaping products, while nicotine and caffeine pouches or drinks do not fall into this category.
In a few months, most people probably won't even remember the new name. The market has already seen several such rebrandings, and customers usually get used to them much faster than expected.
What does this mean for customers?
In short:
- the brand is not disappearing from the market,
- electronic cigarettes, PODs, and e-liquids now bear the name KURA,
- nicotine pouches remain KURWA,
- caffeine pouches remain KURWA,
- Kurwa Juicy drinks are also not being renamed,
- the quality or composition of the products does not change.
So, if you can't find your favorite Kurwa vape product, try looking for it under the KURA brand.
