FUMI nicotine pouches: test and review

FUMI doesn't look like a brand that needs to shout at first glance. The tins are simple, colorful, and clear. But when you open them and browse through the flavor offerings, you'll find that the brand inside is significantly bolder than its exterior.

Besides blackcurrant, strawberry, or mint, it also offers ginger, prickly pear, and unusual fruit combinations. This is a risky path. The attempt to differentiate sometimes ends with a flavor that is original, but no one wants to use it a second time. This problem did not occur with the tested FUMI variants. The unconventional flavors do not seem self-serving and taste sensical.

The current FUMI range includes ten variants with 8 or 11 mg of nicotine per pouch. All use a slim format, come in packs of 20, and are slightly moist. You can view the complete FUMI offering in one place.

Who manufactures FUMI nicotine pouches?

FUMI is a Swedish brand manufactured by Helix Sweden AB in Ödeshög. It focuses on distinct flavor profiles, clean design, and combinations that stand out from the usual nicotine pouch offerings without chasing extreme strength.

In spring 2026, the brand introduced new packaging. During the transition period, tins with both the original and new designs may be sold. Therefore, if you receive a different package than shown in the product photo, it does not necessarily mean a different flavor or strength.

What flavors does FUMI offer?

FUMI's offering can be divided into four main groups: purely fruity flavors, fruit complemented by mint, unconventional spicy combinations, and stronger mint variants.

FUMI fruit flavors

FUMI Black Currant 8 mg is based on the taste of blackcurrant with a slightly tart finish. Compared to sweeter fruit variants, it appears darker and more pronounced but does not add mint or intense cooling.

FUMI Fiery Mango 8 mg offers a sweet tropical mango flavor. It is among the brand's more straightforward fruit variants and is suitable for those who do not want to combine mango flavor with mint or several other types of fruit.

Tangy Apple combines green apple with a sweet and sour profile. Tangy Strawberry works with the same contrast but offers a sweeter strawberry base instead of fresh apple. The sour note gives both flavors a more interesting finish and separates them from purely sweet fruit pouches.

Fruit complemented by mint

Minty Blueberry combines sweet blueberries with fresh mint. The fruit part remains in the foreground, and the mint primarily functions as a cooling finish.

Watermelon Mint combines sweet watermelon with mint. Compared to Minty Blueberry, it feels juicier and lighter but still retains a noticeable cooling element. Both variants contain 8 mg of nicotine per pouch and represent a middle ground between the fruity and minty parts of the offering.

Most unconventional FUMI flavors

FUMI Prickly Pear 8 mg is one of the most interesting variants in the entire range. The taste of prickly pear is complemented by tropical fruit, citrus, and a subtle pear sweetness. The result is not an ordinary single-flavor, but a more complex blend of several fruit tones.

FUMI Zingy Ginger 8 mg goes in a different direction. Here, neither fruit nor mint plays the main role, but fresh ginger with a slightly pungent character. If classic fruit and icy combinations no longer surprise you, Zingy Ginger is precisely the type of flavor for which it makes sense to try the FUMI brand.

Mint FUMI with 11 mg per pouch

FUMI Freezy Mint 11 mg represents the most intensely cooling part of the offering. Intense mint is complemented by a subtly sweet undertone that rounds out the flavor without suppressing its icy character.

Spearmint 11 mg is also minty, but the taste of spearmint feels more natural, rounder, and less frosty. Freezy Mint is therefore sharper and cooler, while Spearmint offers a softer mint profile. Both variants have the same nicotine content.

Our experience with FUMI

At Nikotin.cz, we internally open and test products because the manufacturer's description alone doesn't tell us anything about the actual condition of the pouches, the quality of workmanship, or whether the flavor makes sense beyond the marketing text.

Packaging that doesn't need to shout unnecessarily

From the perspective of someone who works in marketing, I consider FUMI's packaging to be very successful. They are simple, clear, and the brand hasn't overloaded them with unnecessary symbols, slogans, or graphic effects.

The flavor name, strength, and color differentiation are quickly readable. The tins work well in product photos and when choosing among several variants. It's a good example that striking packaging doesn't have to be complicated.

Their unconventional flavors worked out

Trying flavors like ginger or prickly pear is quite a big risk. Some brands try to be original at all costs, and the result is often a taste that is more peculiar than good.

With the FUMI variants we tested, these combinations worked. The flavors are unusual enough to make the brand stand out but don't taste like randomly mixed aromas. In my opinion, FUMI is strongest in this part of its offering.

Menthol is good, but not exceptional

FUMI's mint variants are not bad, but menthol itself can be found in other brands in a more pronounced form. If I crave purely mint-flavored nicotine pouches, I personally prefer White Fox nicotine pouches.

This doesn't mean that Freezy Mint or Spearmint don't make sense. They are just not the main reason why I would choose FUMI. The brand is more interesting where it works with mango, ginger, prickly pear, or a combination of fruit and mint.

Two strengths are a good idea executed halfway

It's good that FUMI offers both 8 and 11 mg per pouch. The problem is how these strengths are distributed. Eight variants have 8 mg, and only Freezy Mint and Spearmint have 11 mg.

If you like Zingy Ginger, Prickly Pear, or Fiery Mango, but want 11 mg per pouch, you're simply out of luck. The same flavor is not offered in two strength levels.

In my opinion, this is the biggest weakness of the current offering. Two strengths look good in a parameter overview, but customers don't actually choose strength and flavor independently. Higher strength is firmly linked to mint. For a brand whose main advantage is precisely unusual flavors, this is a missed opportunity.

Quality control of tested pouches

In the tins we opened and tested, the contents within the pouches were evenly distributed. The pouches were not dry, torn, or visibly poorly filled.

This is an experience with the tested packages, not a claim that a defective piece can never appear. However, the first impression of manufacturing consistency is very good. The pouches appeared well-made and corresponded to what I would expect from a Swedish manufacturer.

The price is lower than I would expect for the quality

FUMI strikes me as surprisingly inexpensive given the craftsmanship, packaging, and sophisticated flavors. A low price is, of course, an advantage for the customer, but the brand might appear more ordinary than it actually is at first glance because of it.

I consider the price-quality ratio to be one of FUMI's strongest features. This is not a product where a lower price is evident in the condition of the pouches, packaging, or neglected flavors.

Which FUMI flavor to choose

For a sweet tropical flavor, choose Fiery Mango. If you prefer sweet and sour fruit, Tangy Apple or Tangy Strawberry will be the closest option. Black Currant offers a darker and slightly tart fruit profile.

Minty Blueberry and Watermelon Mint make sense if you want fruit complemented by a cooling tone. Prickly Pear is the most complex fruit blend, while Zingy Ginger stands out from the rest of the offering with its spicy and slightly pungent taste.

Of the purely mint variants, Freezy Mint is more intensely icy, and Spearmint is rounder and subtly sweet. Both also belong to the stronger part of the FUMI offering.

FUMI 8 mg or 11 mg?

The 8 mg per pouch strength covers most of the offering and includes all fruity, fruit-mint, and spicy variants. It therefore offers a significantly wider selection of flavors.

You will only find the 11 mg strength in Freezy Mint and Spearmint. If you want a stronger FUMI, you must choose one of the two forms of mint. The current offering does not include a fruity or spicy variant with 11 mg.

FAQ

Each tin contains 20 nicotine pouches.

What format do FUMI pouches use?

All variants in the current offering use a narrow slim format.

Where is FUMI manufactured?

FUMI nicotine pouches are manufactured in Sweden by Helix Sweden AB. Production takes place in the town of Ödeshög.

Are FUMI well-made?

In the tested tins, the contents were evenly distributed, and the pouches were not dry or torn. The craftsmanship seemed consistent and high quality to us.

Are FUMI nicotine pouches worth it?

According to our test, FUMI offers a very good ratio of price, craftsmanship, and taste. The biggest advantages are the well-executed unconventional flavors, simple packaging, and the quality of the pouches themselves. The biggest weakness is the illogical distribution of strength, as the 11 mg variants are only available in mint flavors.

FUMI is not the best brand in everything. For pure menthol, I would personally still lean towards White Fox. However, if you are looking for well-made nicotine pouches with an unusual flavor and a surprisingly low price considering the quality, FUMI is definitely worth trying.
